CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A Missouri judge said he is trying to reach a speedy conclusion to a wrongful death suit against Anheuser-Busch heir August Busch IV.
Circuit Judge William Syler spoke at a hearing Tuesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. He said it is time to resolve the arguments among the plaintiffs in the case.
"We're going to be done on Nov. 14," Syler said. "Every time, there is some new angle."
Busch has agreed to pay $1.55 million to settle the lawsuit brought by Adrienne Martin's mother and son. Martin, his girlfriend, died of a drug overdose at his mansion in Huntleigh in 2010.
Christine Trampler, Martin's mother, is reportedly holding out for $1.75 million. She objects to a $200,000 payment to her ex-husband, which will go into a trust for their grandson.
Maurice Graham, a Busch lawyer, said his side had to reach a separate agreement with Larry Eby, the ex-husband.
"Eby and Trampler couldn't agree on the time of day," Graham told the newspaper.
Arthur Trampler, Trampler's husband, died of carbon monoxide poisoning Monday night, the Post-Dispatch said.
