CANTON, Ohio, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Neighboring families in Canton, Ohio, have accused each other of making fun of their children.
Tricia and Michael Knight told the Canton Repository they videotaped William Bailey and his son imitating the walk of their 10-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy.
Bailey said the Knights and their children have engaged in name-calling at their 9-year-old son, who suffers from attention deficit disorder.
"I love that little girl," Bailey said. "I never even meant that or anything at all toward little Hope. I don't make fun of anybody with a disability."
But he said he "reacted badly" to the name-calling.
Sgt. Terry Curry of the Stark County Sheriff's Office said deputies have made visits to the warring families many times and are well aware there is a history of disputes. He said so far there appears to have been no violations of Ohio law.
