FBI offers reward for information

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The FBI announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Ahmad Abousamra, charged with seeking training to kill American soldiers.

Abousamra, a U.S. citizen who resided in the Boston area, is charged with conspiracy to provide material support to al-Qaida, and was indicted in 2009 for allegedly traveling to Pakistan and Yemen to seek jihad training, an FBI said Wednesday in a news release.

His alleged co-conspirator, Tarek Mehanna, was convicted on terrorism charges in 2011 and sentenced in April to prison.
