HOUSTON, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- A 20-year veteran of the Houston Police Department was relieved of duty for posting sexually suggestive photos of herself to a modeling website, officials said.
Sgt. Stacey Suro's nearly 100 photos, some of them nude or in fetish or bondage positions, led to her suspension, pending a police Internal Affairs investigation, KPRC-TV, Houston, reported Tuesday.
Suro, of Sugar Land, has since removed the link, Model-Mayhem.com, in which she clearly states she is a model charging photographers for her work, from the Internet.
Police Chief Charles McClelland issued a statement saying he would not comment until the investigation is complete. Ray Hunt, president of the Houston Police Officers' Union, confirmed Suro is a union member, but said she has not sought legal representation from the union.
