WINTER SPRINGS, Fla., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Gunfire Sunday outside a Florida VFW post where a motorcycle club charity run was to begin left two people dead and a third in critical condition, police said.
Winter Springs police Lt. Doug Seely said the shooting occurred about 10:40 a.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4504 where bystanders said members of the Warlocks motorcycle club were gathered for a fundraising ride, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Seely said there was a confrontation in the parking lot just before the shooting started.
Seely said authorities believed all three victims, whose names had not been released, were motorcycle club members.
The newspaper said authorities did not say how many shooters there may have been.
"We have a lot of people detained and a lot of weapons detained, and we're ascertaining what matches what," Seely said.
