Neighbors complain of smell, San Francisco bacon restaurant shut down

MORRO BAY, Calif., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Coast Guard said its personnel rescued two people from a sinking plane that went down in the Pacific Ocean off the Northern California coast.
The Coast Guard said the single-engine Cessna crashed about 38 nautical miles northwest of Morro Bay and the aircraft's GPS device alerted rescuers to its whereabouts, San Francisco's WTVU-TV reported.
Petty Officer Rachel Polish said aircraft from several other agencies helped pinpoint the crash site and a Coast Guard helicopter crew pulled the pair from the water before the plane sank.
The two occupants, who had been en route to Canada when the plane's engine stalled, declined medical attention, Polish said.
