RIVANNA, Va., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- A murder-suicide shooting at a home in Rivanna, Va., has claimed four lives, investigators said.

Albermarle County, Va., Police confirmed two males and two females were killed Tuesday night, and that the incident was a murder-suicide. Three were reported dead at the scene, and the fourth, who officers said was not the shooter, died later at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

No names were released. Police said it was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the community.

Neighbors of the home where the slayings occurred told WVIR-TV, Charlottesville, that a mother and three children were renting the home, but police did not confirm that information.
