Coast Guard looks for cruise ship jumper

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Coast Guard said it was searching for a man last seen jumping from a cruise ship off the Florida coast early Tuesday morning.

A security guard reported he saw the man leap from the ship Carnival Fascination, into 87-feet deep Atlantic Ocean waters off Volusia County, Fla., the Coast Guard said.

The man was identified as 31 years old, but his name was not released, authorities said.

The ship departed Jacksonville, Fla., Monday afternoon, on its way to Key West, the Orlando, Fla., Sentinel reported Tuesday.
