Anthony plaintiff to get trust fund info

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A woman suing Casey Anthony, acquitted in her daughter's death, will hear whether Anthony got money from her parents' trust fund, a Florida judge ruled.

The trust fund was created to honor their deceased granddaughter, 2-year-old Caylee, but the public won't know whether Anthony got the money until the defamation suit goes to trial in January, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Zenaida Gonzalez's lawyers wanted to know if Anthony's parents have been funneling trust money to her, but Anthony's attorneys argued that was "private financial information" and irrelevant to the ongoing civil suit brought by Gonzalez, the newspaper reported

The judge said the lawyers could not reveal whether Anthony tapped the trust fund until the trial.

The suit is based on Anthony's 2008 claim that a nanny with a name similar to Gonzalez's had kidnapped Caylee. Police later discovered the nanny didn't exist and the toddler was dead, but Gonzalez was linked to the case in the media and interviewed by police.

People magazine reported Dr. Phil McGraw, host of the syndicated "Dr. Phil" television show, donated $600,000 to the charity established by Anthony's parents in honor of Caylee Anthony.
