BRISTOL, Va., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Searchers brought in a sonar device Saturday to help them find the missing pilot of a helicopter that crashed into a Virginia lake, state police said.

The chopper was a corporate aircraft flying for Food City and went down Friday in South Holston Lake after dropping off a passenger at an nearby home.

The state police said in a written statement that divers failed to locate the pilot in the wreckage and would deploy a side-scan sonar Saturday to help in the search.

Tri-Cities.com in Bristol, Va., said the helicopter had been ferrying passengers to and from the Bristol Motor Speedway.
