PITTSBURGH, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A 72-year-old western Pennsylvania woman says her purse was snatched while she was driving to a police station to report the theft of her checkbook.

Harriet Sweger responded "Wouldn't you be?" when WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh asked her if she was afraid to leave her home in McKees Rocks.

"I was robbed twice," she continued. "Is there a tag on me or what?"

Sweger told police a woman grabbed her checkbook in the supermarket. Then her purse was snatched from her car when she stopped to ask directions.

Police told the television station there's a suspect to the second theft but would not release the identity.

Sweger said she has closed the bank account and cancelled her ATM card, leaving her with no way of paying bills.
