PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Students at California's Claremont McKenna College have the highest overall satisfaction with their school choice, a nationwide survey indicates.
The rankings are based on surveys of college students at 377 U.S. colleges over the past two years, The Princeton Review reported.
The survey, conducted by The Princeton Review, asked 122,000 students to rate their college's academics, administration, campus life through a series of 80 questions. The answers were used by to devise 62 lists of Top 20 schools in particular topics.
Claremont McKenna College is a private liberal arts school in Claremont, Calif. It has about 1,300 students.
Students at New York's Sarah Lawrence College rated their professors the best; students at New Jersey's Princeton University said they were happiest with their financial aid. The Princeton Review isn't associated with Princeton University.
The listings were published on the review's Web site, www.PrincetonReview.com and in the 2013 edition of the book "The Best 377 Colleges" and an e-book edition.
Students at Texas A&M University topped the survey's list of "Most Conservative Students," while those at Bard College in New York were rated "Most Liberal Students." Ranked "Most Politically Active Students" were those at American University in Washington.
Other schools topping a poll category were Florida Southern College (Most Beautiful Campus); Rice College (Happiest Students); and West Virginia University (Top Party Schools).
