MILWAUKEE, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Members of a Wisconsin Sikh temple where six people were killed received an aftershock: Police say a member was killed in an attempted mugging.

Dalbir Singh, the uncle of the owner of Harmony Foods, was shot during at an attempted robbery, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Jatinder Singh, the owner of the store, said he and his uncle were met by two men when they left the building after closing. One of the men put a gun to Jatinder's head, but the two Sikh men were able to run back into the store and close the door behind them, police said.

Dalbir Singh was killed when one of the robbers fired through the door, Jatinder said.

Dalbir Singh, 56, was not an employee of the store, but was often there with his nephew.

Neither Singh was at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek Aug. 5 when shooting began. Jatinder Singh said he had left the temple about 90 minutes before Wade Michael Page entered the building and shot and killed six congregants.

Dalbir Singh went to where worshippers gathered after the shooting.

Page killed himself after being shot in the parking lot by a police officer.
