Sandusky prosecutors: There's more

HARRSIBURG, Pa., Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Jerry Sandusky's prosecutors said they had a "great deal" of "highly incriminating" evidence never used in his trial, a transcript released Thursday indicated.

The transcript was from a closed-door meeting in June after former Penn State assistant football Coach Sandusky had been found guilty of 45 counts of child sex abuse, ABC News reported.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Frank Fina said in the meeting investigative reports as well as testimony from unnamed victims in the case that were not introduced and would remain secret because of the ongoing investigation

Also Thursday, attorneys for two former Penn State administrators charged with perjury and failure to report child abuse appeared at a pretrial hearing to ask that charges be dismissed, ABC News reported.

The hearing for the defendants -- former Athletic Director Tim Curley and former Vice President Gary Schultz -- was at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg, the State College News reported Wednesday. Neither man attended the hearing, and no trial date has been set.

Curley and Schultz have pleaded not guilty to the charges, saying they were not involved in the scandal that led to Sandusky's conviction.

Legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, who lost his job in the scandal, died of lung cancer in January. Meanwhile, Curley's attorney told ABC News Curley is very ill with lung cancer.
