Pitt harassment suspect pleads guilty

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- A man accused of sending threatening messages to University of Pittsburgh professors pleaded guilty to harassment Thursday, a report said.

Mark Lee Krangle, 66, of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., accused of making terroristic threats in response to e-mails he sent to current and former school professors, promised "I am committed to not communicating with these professors any more" in court and was sentenced to time served, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Thursday.

At a preliminary hearing Thursday attorney Jeffrey Weinberg said Krangle suffers from fixed delusional patterns, receives psychiatric treatment and will be cared for by relatives in New York.
