DETROIT, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Detroit police said they were searching for a woman who allegedly opened fire on a crowd exiting a midnight cruise on the Detroit Princess riverboat Monday.

The 1 a.m. shooting left seven people injured, one of whom is in critical condition, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Most of the victims suffered minor injures to the arm, leg, foot and other areas, Detroit Police Sgt. Alan Quinn said.

They were attending a radio-station sponsored event, the "On Deck Sunday" Moonlight Cruise, which ended at 12:30 a.m.

"It appears there was an altercation on the boat," he said. "It looks like a group of people were getting in some kind of fight. When they got back to shore, a black female who was involved in the fight got into her car, drove back ...and then she shot into the crowd of people who were getting off the boat."

The woman drove off and police are still looking for her, Quinn said.
