'Toxic Tush' suspect charged in death

COCONUT CREEK, Fla., July 27 (UPI) -- An unlicensed cosmetic surgeon in Florida accused of injecting a mixture including tire sealant into clients has been charged with manslaughter, officials said.

Oneal Ron Morris had already pleaded not guilty to charges of practicing health care without a license and causing serious bodily injury for allegedly concocting a formula of tire sealant, mineral oil, cement and super glue and injecting it into clients' buttocks, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Thursday.

One of Morris' clients, Shatarka Nuby, 31, died in March of chronic lung disease which her sister, Shira Thompson, said was caused by the injections Morris administered in 2007 and 2008.

"I knew [Morris] injected her with that stuff," said Joseph Alan Nuby, Shatarka's father. "We were just wondering when he was going to get convicted of anything."

"She was in a lot of pain. She couldn't sit down from the butt [injections] he gave her," he added.

Investigators said Morris, a transgender woman also known as Duchess, injected at least one other woman with the mixture, which was administered through a tube hooked to a cooler. The woman, whose name was not reported, suffered from pneumonia-like symptoms, infections and large welts on her buttocks, the newspaper reported.
