STATE COLLEGE, Pa., July 27 (UPI) -- The wife of former Penn State assistant football coach and convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky says her husband isn't "who they say he is."

Dottie Sandusky is standing by her husband, even as he awaits sentencing for 45 counts of child sexual abuse, the (State College, Pa.) Centre Daily Times reported.

"I love my husband," Dottie Sandusky said Thursday. "He's not who they say he is."

At Jerry Sandusky's trial in June, his victims testified they were abused in the basement of the Sanduskys' home.

When Dottie Sandusky testified for the defense, she said she never saw her husband doing anything inappropriate with the boys he coached.
