CROFTON, Md., July 27 (UPI) -- Police have foiled what may have been a Maryland man's plot to shoot up his workplace, sources told WJLA-TV, Washington, Friday.
The unidentified Crofton resident was arrested overnight after he allegedly made threatening statements to a colleague at Pitney Bowes that included references to the recent mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater.

Sources told WJLA a number of weapons were found in the suspect's home. The suspect apparently was on the brink of being fired.
Police in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties called a news conference Friday to discuss the case.
