Trains collide, derail in Ohio

AKRON, Ohio, July 12 (UPI) -- Crews worked Thursday to clean up the wreckage of a train derailment in downtown Akron, Ohio, officials said.

The derailment happened early Thursday morning when a train traveling about 20 miles per hour rear-ended a stationary train, WEWS-TV, Cleveland, reported.

Three empty train cars were pushed into a nearby parking lot.

The incident did not affect vehicle traffic and no one was hurt.
