Marsh and Overcash were found dead in Overcash's home, while police discovered Hicks' body in the woods behind the house, The Charlotte Observer reported Thursday.

Neighbors told police Overcash and Hicks were a couple, and that Hicks had just moved in with Overcash. Marsh, a chicken farmer, was Overcash's next-door neighbor and boss.

Investigators were called Saturday morning after a neighbor spotted the bodies. Detectives said a shotgun and knife had been used in the triple slaying.

Morrison's criminal record consists of a reckless driving conviction, a conviction for operating a vehicle without insurance and having expired registration. He was also convicted for marijuana possession. He has pending DWI and open container charges against him.
