2 die in Dallas crane collapse

RICHARDSON, Texas, July 7 (UPI) -- A construction crane toppled on the University of Texas campus in suburban Dallas Saturday, killing two workers, a school spokeswoman said.

University communications director Katherine Morales said the crane was being dismantled after being used to build the school's new Arts and Technology Building. The two employees of an outside construction firm were killed when the crane collapsed into a building, The Dallas Morning News reported.

No other casualties were reported.

A city of Richardson spokesman told the newspaper the crews were to have removed two cranes from the campus Saturday.
