NORTH PLATTE, Neb., July 3 (UPI) -- A North Platte, Neb., mother was sentenced to two years probation after pleading no contest to felony child abuse charges for locking her two boys in a dog kennel.
Ashly Clark, 23, was ordered to serve two years of probation for putting her two boys, ages 3 and 5 at the time, in a 42-by-28-by-30 inch dog kennel and wiring it shut last October, the North Platte Telegraph reported. Three other counts against Clark were dropped as part of a plea agreement.
Lacy Beyer, 22, and Bryson Eyten, 26, received one year probation in June after pleading no contest to negligent child abuse and second-degree false imprisonment charges. Eyten's children, ages 8 and 8 months, were found in the same dog kennel as Clark's children.
Samantha Eyten, 25, reached a plea agreement and was to be sentenced July 12.
