On Feb. 25, fraternity pledges kidnapped Desdunes, 19, and brought him to an off-campus townhouse. He died hours later of alcohol poisoning.

Three individuals, whose names were not released, were cleared of any criminal wrongdoing for their involvement in Desdunes' death. The fraternity may be sentenced to a fine of $12,000.

Cornell University withdrew recognition of the fraternity after Desdunes died, and the chapter has since disbanded.
