Magnitude-4.2 quake recorded in Nevada

TRUCKEE, Nev., June 23 (UPI) -- A magnitude-4.2 earthquake struck north of Lake Tahoe in Nevada Saturday, U.S. seismologists said.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the temblor occurred shortly before 9 p.m. local time at a depth of 4.2 miles near Truckee, between Carson City and Reno.

There were no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.
