LAS VEGAS, June 19 (UPI) -- Nevada casino mogul and Republican Party donor Sheldon Adelson could donate $100 million this campaign cycle, a person knowledgeable about the situation said.

The person said Adelson, not wanting to be limited to just one candidate or cause, could contribute to conservative advocacy group Crossroads GPS and an organization aligned with billionaires brothers Charles and David Koch, CNN reported Tuesday.

"The requests are coming fast and furious," the person said.

Adelson and his wife, Miriam, donated $10 million to Restore Our Future, the super PAC supporting presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. The Adelsons also contributed about $20 million to keep one-time GOP hopeful Newt Gingrich's campaign bid alive for awhile.

Adelson, whom Forbes magazine estimates to be worth nearly $25 billion, is ranked as the seventh richest man in America.

Close friends to Adelson said he vowed to support whoever emerged as the GOP nominee because his main goal is to block President Obama's re-election, CNN reported.

"He wants to beat Barack Obama," one friend said.
