RALEIGH, N.C., June 18 (UPI) -- Rielle Hunter says she was former U.S. Sen. John Edwards' last mistress in a string of extramarital liaisons in her memoir obtained by ABC News.

In "What Really Happened," available June 26, Hunter reveals Edwards had two other affairs and did not reveal the truth about his former relationships until last year, ABC News reported Monday.

When Edwards met Hunter in 2006, he lied to her about having more mistresses and revealed his relationships as he was about to be tried for using campaign donations from political supporters to hide his affair with Hunter and the daughter he had with her, ABC News said.

The former U.S. senator from North Carolina was acquitted on one count of violating campaign finance rules and a federal judge declared a mistrial on the five other criminal counts after the jury said it was deadlocked. The Justice Department said it won't retry the case.

In the book, Hunter suggested she and Edwards are romantically involved and he is active in the life of their daughter, Frances Quinn Hunter.

"I really have no idea what will happen with us. The jury is still out. But I can honestly say that the ending is of no concern to me anymore," she wrote. "The love is here. And as sappy as it may sound, I love living in love."

Hunter said she wrote the book because she wanted her daughter to "have one entirely truthful public account of how she came into the world. After all, this is her story too."
