NEW YORK, June 14 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama Thursday said Republicans' line of attack that the economy "is the fault of the guy in the White House" is "elegant" but wrong.
Speaking at a fundraiser at the New York home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker, the president said the GOP plans to spend $500 million on ads playing up frustration and discouragement among Americans -- "and it's the fault of the guy in the White House. It's an elegant message, it happens to be wrong. But it's crisp. You can fit it on a bumper sticker."
