LUCERNE, Colo., June 8 (UPI) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation closed part of a highway Friday after a culvert that runs underneath the road was damaged during a heavy storm.

A 30-foot stretch of State Highway 392 in Weld County was ruined when the culvert underneath it collapsed during the storm, the CDOT said.

Crews were working to rebuild the stretch and the CDOT said it aims to reopen SH 392 by Sunday.

In Wyoming, a tornado weaved through Wheatland, upending train cars, downing power lines, causing property damage and injuring one person, officials said Thursday.

Power has been restored but residents were warned to be alert for downed lines, the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security said on its Web site.

The state office said one person was injured, five structures sustained major damage and between 10 and 12 other structures were also damaged.

The tornado caused several empty train cars to derail in the Slater area of Platte County, the state office said.
