ORLANDO, Fla., June 1 (UPI) -- A JetBlue flight bound for Bogota was diverted to Orlando, Fla., Friday due to mechanical problems shortly after takeoff from Fort Lauderdale, the airline said.
Flight 1557 took off from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 8:22 a.m. EDT and landed at Orlando International Airport shortly after 10 a.m. after reporting a mechanical indicator light on board, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
"No emergency was declared," JetBlue spokeswoman Allison Steinberg said.
The aircraft was inspected and the plane left Florida for Bogota around 1:30 p.m.
All 138 passengers were offered a free one-way JetBlue ticket as compensation, Steinberg said.
