ALBANY, N.Y., May 27 (UPI) -- Rapper and reality star Flavor Flav is facing a 180-day jail sentence in Albany, N.Y., for failing to pay more than $111,186 in child support.

An Albany County magistrate recommended the jail sentence and suspended Flavor Flav's -- whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr. -- drivers license and passport after he failed to show up to a hearing this week, the New York Daily Times reported Friday.

"It was declared a willful violation," an official said of Drayton's failure to pay child support.

The rapper, who first became famous in the 1980s with his former rap group Public Enemy, is scheduled to appear in Albany Family Court on June 19

Drayton is required to pay $837.72 a week to Angie Parker of Albany to support their three children, under a support agreement reached by the couple.

In 2010, Drayton, who starred in the "Surreal Life" and other VH1 reality shows in the 2000s, was forced by a court to pay Parker $63,458 in child support he failed to pay at that time.
