ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., May 25 (UPI) -- A New Jersey couple received long prison sentences for carjacking a visitor to Atlantic City, forcing him into the trunk of his car and fatally stabbing him.

Craig Arno, 46, was sentenced Thursday to 120 years, The Press of Atlantic City reported. Superior Court Judge Michael Donio said Arno must serve at least 100 years without parole, guaranteeing he will die in prison.

Arno's former girlfriend, Jessica Kisby, 26, who pleaded guilty and testified at Arno's trial, got 30 years.

Kisby tearfully apologized to the family of Martin Caballero, 46, of North Bergen, N.J., who came to Atlantic City May 21, 2010, for his daughter's 22nd birthday.

"I'm very sorry for your loss," Kisby said. "I should have stopped it and I didn't, and I'm sorry."

During the trial, Kisby said she and Arno stabbed Caballero and then, when their knife broke, went to get another one.

Donio suggested Kisby's sentence, guaranteed by her plea bargain, is too short. He remarked that she yawned and even laughed during her trial testimony.

"I didn't see a bit of remorse, not one scintilla," he said. "Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see it."

Kisby is the mother of a 7-year-old daughter, who will be brought up by Kisby's mother.

Caballero's stepson and his longtime partner testified. Libia Martinez said she and Caballero had planned to marry in the summer of 2010.

"When you're in that cage, don't look for God because God only helps those who believe in things that are good," William Cruz told Arno. "Your real sentence is going to begin the day you die."
