One incident occurred Friday when three horses were spotted in a driveway at the Zanesville farm owned by Marian Thompson and went back inside after a deputy opened the gate for them, the Zanesville Times-Recorder reported. The other was Saturday when an unspecified number of horses got loose and were retrieved after the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office called a caretaker.
Thompson's husband killed himself last year after letting loose a menagerie that included lions, tigers, bears and other wild animals that he kept on the farm. Most of the animals were killed by deputies.
Two apes, two leopards and a bear were quarantined in a zoo for months. They were recently returned to Marian Thompson.
