LOS ANGELES, May 22 (UPI) -- "Serena," a short film starring Jennifer Garner and Alfred Molina, premiered on YouTube's WIGS digital channel Tuesday.

Garner plays the title character, a woman who makes a series of shocking confessions to her priest, played by Molina. The film was written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia, co-founder of WIGS along with Jon Avnet and Jake Avnet.

"Jennifer and Alfred were perfect," Garcia said in a statement. "They elevated the script and found feeling and laughter where I had not seen it. I wish everything was this easy and fun."

"Serena" is the first of 10 short films planned for WIGS, and debuts on the heels of the channel's first series, "Jan." The first six episodes of "Jan," which stars Caitlin Gerard, Virginia Madsen and Stephen Moyer, can be seen on youtube.com/wigs.

WIGS said it will continue to release content showcasing the talents of female leads. Upcoming programming features Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Beals, Maura Tierney, Michael C. Hall, America Ferrera, Jason Isaacs, Allison Janney, Jane Kaczmarek, Jena Malone, Rosanna Arquette, Walton Goggins, Jimmy Wolk, Gary Cole, Tim DeKay, Jason O'Mara, and Catherine O'Hara.
