GUNTOWN, Miss., May 5 (UPI) -- Two bodies were found in Mississippi by authorities hunting for a man suspected of abducting a Tennessee woman and her three daughters, the FBI said Saturday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Memphis said in a release posted on its Web site that the identity of the bodies discovered Friday had not been determined. However, they were found when authorities executed search warrants at residences in Mississippi during their investigation into the disappearance of Jo Ann Bain, 31, and her daughters, Adrienne, 14, Alexandria, 12, and Kyliyah Bain, 8, all of Hardeman County, Tenn., who were last seen Friday.

Authorities believe they were kidnapped by Adam Mayes, 35, described by the FBI as a man who was a friend of the family. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The FBI said the Bains were reported missing by the woman's husband and her vehicle was later found abandoned.

The FBI said contact with Mayes was initiated early in the investigation, but he fled when authorities subsequently tried to reach him. Mayes was last reported seen Tuesday in Guntown.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert Saturday for the missing mother and daughters.

Mayes was thought to have cut his hair to alter his appearance and may have done the same to the four women, the release said. He has connections to Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

Jo Ann is described as white with brown eyes and hair, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. Adrienne is white with brown hair and eyes, is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 129 pounds. Alexandria is white with brown hair and hazel eyes, is 5 feet tall and weighs 105 pounds. Kyliyah is white with blond hair and brown eyes, is 4 feet tall and weighs 57 pounds.

Mayes is described as white with brown hair and blue eyes, is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds, the release said. His relationship to the family was not reported.

Anyone who has seen the suspect or victims is asked to call the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation at (601) 987-1353.

Federal authorities are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the location of the missing victims and the arrest of Adam Mayes.
