TAMPA, Fla., May 3 (UPI) -- One of the 13 people charged in the hazing death of Florida A&M University drum major Robert Champion has turned himself in, police said.

Bryan Jones, 23, of Parrish, Fla., was booked and released on $15,000 bail Wednesday night after he entered the Orient Street Jail in Tampa, Fla., and surrendered to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies, the Sheriff's Office said.

He faces a charge of hazing resulting in death, a felony, as due 10 other suspects. Two more face misdemeanor charges, the Tampa Bay (Fla.) Times reported Thursday.

No other suspect has yet to surrender to authorities in the case.

Authorities say Champion, 26, was beaten to death by fellow members of Florida A&M University's "Marching 100" band while aboard a chartered bus, which was parked outside an Orlando hotel after a football game. He died Nov. 19.
