Isabel Celis' parents ask for daughter's return

TUCSON, May 3 (UPI) -- The father of a missing 6-year-old Arizona girl said Thursday he last saw her when she went to bed in their home in Tucson.

Isabel Celis has not been seen since April 20. In an interview on NBC's "Today," Sergio and Becky Celis asked whoever snatched their daughter to let her go.

"And to whomever did this, please look at her, look at her, she's beautiful," Sergio Celis said. "She doesn't deserve this. She deserves to be home in her room, playing with her brothers, and just loving life the way she does."

He told NBC Isabel wanted to get a good night's sleep because she had a baseball game early the next day. He said he remembers "that sweet little face" after her mother braided her hair.

Police in Tucson said the family has not been totally ruled out as suspects. Detectives interviewed both parents Wednesday at their home, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

Police Chief Roberto Villasenor said both parents have also been given polygraph tests, NBC said.

"We look at everyone to include the family," he said. "It's not that we are saying the family's responsible, but we're not saying the family's completely clear. Everyone is a suspect until we find out otherwise."
