Girl gang attacks teens, steals fries, phone

NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- New York City police are looking for a gang of teenage girls who allegedly attacked two 16-year-old girls and stole their french fries and a cellphone.

The girls -- about 12 of them -- stole fries from one of the 16-year-old girls, then harassed her and a friend on a downtown 4 train March 31, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

At the East 176th Street station, the gang allegedly dragged the 16-year-olds off the train and stole a cellphone from one of the girls, police said, adding that the suspects, who range in age from 15 to 17, did not know the victims.

One of the attackers took video of the incident, which was circulated by police Wednesday night.
