Octomom: 'We were set up'

NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- Nadya Suleman, known as "Octomom," said Friday she was "set up" by a hairdresser who visited the home she shares in California with her 14 children.

The hairdresser allegedly took photographs and leaked them to the entertainment Web site TMZ. This week, police and child welfare officials visited Suleman's home in Orange County to check on conditions.

"We were set up," Suleman said in an interview on ABCs "Good Morning America." "I think maybe me and my kids were set up."

One photo showed some of the octuplets using training toilets.

"She thought it was unacceptable that they're, you know, half-naked, goin' potty," Suleman said, referring to her 3-year-old octuplets. "I mean, moms out there, come on."

Suleman became a famous and controversial figure three years ago when she gave birth to octuplets conceived through in vitro fertilization. She was already a mother of six, also conceived by in vitro.
