SAN DIEGO, April 24 (UPI) -- California authorities Tuesday arrested a Marine staff sergeant on suspicion of killing a young Marine's wife, who was found dead last week in Riverside County.

Staff Sgt. Louis Ray Perez, 45, was already in custody on other charges when he was arrested Tuesday in the death of Brittany Dawn Killgore, 22. Perez was the last person to see Killgore alive April 13, four days before her nude body was found near Lake Skinner.

It will be up to San Diego County prosecutors to determine whether to charge Perez in the case. Jessica Lynn Lopez, 25, has been charged with homicide and is being held in San Diego County jail on $3 million bond after pleading not guilty last week.

Investigators have not said whether Perez has been linked to sexually explicit Web site postings uncovered by KFMB-TV, San Diego, in connection with Killgore's death. The TV station reported Perez had posted personal ads on bondage Web sites.

Killgore vanished four days after she filed to divorce her husband, who was deployed in Afghanistan. She has not been connected to any sexually based Web sites, KFMB-TV said.

Lopez lives at an address that is also shared by Perez.

The San Diego County medical examiner has not announced the cause of Killgore's death.
