TUCSON, April 24 (UPI) -- A cadre of watchdogs was present in the home of an Arizona girl the night she disappeared but it was unclear Tuesday if they ever raised the alarm, police said.

Tucson police told reporters that "several" dogs of unspecified breed and age were in the home of 6-year-old Isabel Celis when she vanished Friday night after her family said they put her to bed, but they declined to say if any of them had been barking during the night.

Police and FBI agents have said the disappearance could have been an abduction, but so far there have been few leads and no reports that a break-in had occurred. Sgt. Marco Borboa said none of the neighbors said they saw or heard anything suspicious.

Borboa also said investigators were still trying to confirm that Isabel attended school on Friday.

The Arizona Daily Star said the Celis family continued to cooperate with investigators and that their home and vehicle and were free to return to their home if they desire.
