Burgoyne reportedly swerved when a delivery truck for Dedham House of Pizza emerged from a side street. The Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway and hit a pole.

Police said no one was given a summons. Neither driver appeared to have been drinking.

Brown and Huff, a former reporter for WCVB-TV, Boston, were on their way to a fundraising event for Best Buddies, an organization assisting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities at the time of the 8:28 p.m. crash. Earlier Friday, the couple were at Fenway Park in Boston for the Red Sox home opener.
