Ron Paul says he's not leaving the race

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 12 (UPI) -- Speaking in Fort Worth, Texas, Republican presidential contender Ron Paul made it clear he has no plans to exit the primary race.

"They ask me if I'm going to quit. I thought we were just getting started. We have a revolution to fight, a country to change," Paul told a capacity audience Wednesday night at the 2,856-seat Will Rogers Auditorium.

The Texas congressman's three-city tour of his home state this week is designed to reinforce his libertarian message of reduced government, decreased involvement in foreign affairs and a recommendation about the nation's health care plan.

"Repeal the whole thing and start all over," he told the enthusiastic Fort Worth crowd.

"The longer this primary season goes forward, the more opportunities he has to preach the message of libertarianism. The people who have heard his message are true believers," Texas Christian University political science professor Jim Riddlesperger told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
