WASHINGTON, April 9 (UPI) -- More than 30,000 people visited the White House Monday to participate in the annual Easter Egg Roll, officials said.

President Obama and his family showed up the event, which featured special appearances from musicians, sports stars, celebrity chefs and the Easter Bunny, the Los Angeles Times reported.

First lady Michelle Obama promoted physical activity with the theme "Let's Go, Let's Play, Let's Move" as part of her anti-obesity campaign.

Olympian ice skater Michelle Kwan, tennis legend Chris Evert and the Harlem Globetrotters were among the athletes who taught kids about their respective sports.

The president joined the Globetrotters in a game of "Shoot for Strength," where each shot a pro or the president made meant a pushup for the kids, and if they missed the adults did pushups, the White House said in a release.

Obama missed seven shots before making one from the three-point line, the report said.

Singer Rachel Crow sang the National Anthem and gave Michelle Obama a hug, the White House reported.

"It's a beautiful day. Perfect weather. We are so excited to have you all here," the first lady said. "Happy Easter and Happy Easter Egg Roll."
