LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- Authorities are seeking the public's help after a safe containing $10 million in valuables was stolen from a Los Angeles home.

A burglary in the Hancock Park section of the city occurred the evening of March 16, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

Detectives determined a safe was taken from a walk-in closet.

The LAPD Web Site has posted sketches and photographs of the items believed to have been contained in the safe, including jewelry, gold watches and cash. Police valued the haul at $10 million, and welcome any information from the public on the burglary.

Investigators expressed some reluctance at estimating the dollar value, though, because the owner has not yet provided documentation on the pricing of the items, the Times reported.
