BALTIMORE, March 31 (UPI) -- Three winners in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland will share the record $640 million Mega Millions jackpot, lottery officials said Saturday.
The Maryland ticket was sold at a 7-11 store in the Milford Mill section of Baltimore County, northwest of Baltimore, The Baltimore Sun reported.
In Illinois, a winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at a store in Red Bud, near St. Louis, Mo., the Chicago Tribune reported, and ABC News was reporting a winning ticket sold somewhere in Kansas.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 42 states and two other jurisdictions. The record jackpot sparked a buying rush that pushed the amount up by millions of dollars on the last day.
The winning numbers were 2-4-23-38-46 and Mega Ball was 23.
