Wrong address tweeted as Zimmerman's

SANFORD, Fla., March 28 (UPI) -- A Florida couple left their home after the address was posted on Twitter as belonging to Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman, one of the couple's sons said.

Chip Humble of Longwood, Fla., said his mother, a 70-year-old school lunch lady who has a heart condition, and her 72-year-old husband moved from their Sanford home to a hotel after receiving hate mail, unwanted visits by news reporters and inquiries from neighbors, the Orlando Sentinel reported Wednesday.

The woman has another son, William George Zimmerman, who lived with her in 1995, the newspaper said. He is no relation to George Zimmerman, 28, who killed Martin, 17, Feb. 26, sparking outrage and protests.

William Zimmerman said he wasn't certain how his mother and stepfather's address became public, although he said he used it to register a vehicle, get a driver's license and vote when he lived with the couple after college.

"This is really scary, and I'm concerned for my family," Zimmerman told the Sentinel Tuesday. "It's scary because there are people who aren't mentally right and will take this information and run with it."

Zimmerman said he traced the tweets to a man in California. When he asked the man to stop the posts, Zimmerman said he received this response, "Black power all day. No justice, no peace" and an obscenity.

He said the posting had been re-tweeted by actor-director Spike Lee. Lee's tweet was removed, but is still being disseminated.

"To endanger people who are innocent because people are angry is not the answer," he said. "That's not how we're going to heal. It's not to help the Martin family for someone else to be hurt."
