Missing teen's cellphone found

MORGAN HILL, Calif., March 20 (UPI) -- Police say a cellphone belonging to missing Morgan Hill, Calif., teen Sierra Lamar was found three-quarters of a mile from her home.

Police discovered the 15-year-old's cellphone Saturday. At this time, investigators have no leads on whether or not Lamar was abducted or ran away, but are pursuing all possibilities. The Sexual Assault Enforcement Task Force is contacting registered sex offenders in the area to see where they were around the time of her disappearance.

Lamar's parents reported her missing Friday after she failed to return home from school, San Jose Mercury News reported.
