CHARDON, Ohio, March 20 (UPI) -- An Ohio judge refused to release documents related to abuse, neglect or similar issues involving the teen suspect accused of killing three high school students.
Geauga County Juvenile Judge Timothy Grendell didn't indicate whether such records involving 17-year-old T.J. Lane exist but the court docket indicated there was one case involving the youth, which the judge said could taint a potential jury pool, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported Monday.
Lane is accused of killing Chardon High School classmates Daniel Parmertor, 16; Demetrius Hewlin, 16; and Russell King Jr. 17. Three other students were injured in last month's shooting spree at the school in the Cleveland suburb of Chardon.
Lane, who police said admitted firing 10 shots at the students, was charged with juvenile counts of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault.
A hearing on whether Lane should be bound over to Common Pleas Court is scheduled for April.
