Dad who drowned sons gets death penalty
RICHMOND, Va., March 18 (UPI) -- A second eaglet hatched Sunday in a Richmond, Va., eagle's nest monitored by a camera feed streaming live on the Internet.
The eaglet, born to Virginia and James, poked a hole in its shell Saturday evening and joined its sibling early Sunday morning, The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
The parents were busy feeding the older eaglet fresh-caught fish at the time. Barbara Slatcher, an Eagle Cam volunteer, said the first chick, which is blond and downy, has been "eating everything that's coming near its mouth."
The Richmond Eagle Cam is a joint project by research group Center for Conservation Biology and the Times-Dispatch.
